ANZAC DAY REFLECTION!

ANZAC Reflection

What:

This week, we have been learning more about the Great World War one. In McCahon class, we have been learning about the soldiers too. We have also have been learning about conscientious objectors and non-combatant work that early New Zealanders did as part of the WW1.

So What:

My class and I have been learning about this topic because pupils in our class have had family members which have been affected by this War. All around New Zealand, commemorative, solemn services are held to remember those who fought for NZ. The war started in 1915 and this year it is 2015. So we are coming up to a 100 year anniversary.

Now What:

Since this learning, I have started to think more deeply. Not just about the soldiers but their families which were going through a rough time of life. It has made me think about society and how the Soldiers fought for NZ!

Term 1 Week 8 Reflection

What?
This week we have been learning about compound and complex sentences.

So what?
This writing strategy is awesome! It can up-levels your E-asttle score and it is really easy to do. All you have to do is make up two basic sentences and add a conjunction. You can either place the conjunction in the middle of the two sentences or to make your sentences higher. Start with a CONJUNCTION!

Now what?
In my next writing sample or any piece of writing I am going to use this method. I want to improve my writing even if what I need to do is small, it is still going to help my learning.

End Of Week 4 Reflection

End Of Week 4 Reflection!

What: This week in my reading, I have been learning about the Pakistani and Indian Conflict. The main purpose the author wrote this is story is if you're going through something sad just remember life is based on friendship and family.

So What:

This story got me thinking about others and how I affect others. War Games is the name of the story and it got me asking questions when I just read the first paragraph. My questions were like ‘Why don’t they just give the land to India?’ ‘What will happen next!?

Now What:

When I read a text, I want to try and relate to the story and how it affects globally. I want to be able to understand the text closely so it will help me with my learning in my personal life and my school life.

This is my reflection for Week 4 of Term 1. I read an interesting story and it was really sad and emotional. What do think we will be learning about next Week? Comment Below!

End Of Year Reflection

Today I have completed my End of year reflection. This will tell you about how I have been helped and have helped others! This will be my last post of the year 2014 and I have done my best. I hope you enjoy it and please leave comments,

MRS Reflection

What?

Today we walked to May Road school to be able to collaborate with other people from other schools! We had some warm up games so that we could learn more about each other. May Road School were very welcoming. We brainstormed everything we passionate about and all our wanderings were.

So what?

We went there for many reasons but the main idea was that we went over there to help one another to collaborate and so that we could be the first schools in the Ako Hiko cluster that were collaborating with other schools.

Now what?

Now we are going to get times from our teachers so that we know when we are a allowed to work with our Genius Hour Project with the people from MRS! We are looking forward for the time we get to present our Projects.

This is my blog post about the reflection I have made to tell you about our trip to MRS. We have all wrote reflections about our trip to MRS. This is the first time I have ever been to MRS and I hope we could meet them again!
